Nurses in South Australia

2 Nov, 2023 | News

Are you a Nurse in South Australia?

We want to hear from you!

Nursing is a physically demanding occupation. We know that nurses are, for the majority of situations, able to recover from these physical demands to continue to work. However, we currently do not know how nurses do this.

At CQUniversity, we want to investigate what strategies nurses use to recover from physically demanding work, both during and between shifts, and identify what is considered ‘optimal’ regarding shift schedules.

We are inviting you to participate in a ~90-minute focus group at CQUniversity, Adelaide Campus (44 Greenhill Rd, Wayville, SA). You will be asked about the recovery strategies you currently use, and what you consider an ‘optimal’ shift schedule. You will also be asked to create scenarios of physically demanding shifts to assist in identifying your strategies and the challenges you may face when trying to physically recover from work.
The data collection session will be audio recorded, but only the research team will have access to your data, which will be de-identified. You will be compensated for your time with a $150 online gift voucher.
