National Conference

The ADNA conference 2024 will be full of information catering for both novice and advanced nurses in dermatology.

Theme: Inclusion, Growth, Leadership

The ADNA are preparing this conference for all nurses working with skin. Developing skills and growing as professionals leads to increased nursing scope. By applying these skills to all areas of nursing, including primary health, aged care and all aspects of skin we hope you catch the vision and join us.

What to expect

Awards: see the awards criteria. Send in your application. New awards aiming to enable more travel for education purposes and professional courses.

Entertainment: $65 guided walking tour, Friday Welcome Drinks (covered by ADNA), two complimentary dinners—Friday Amgen and then Saturday Ego where the Ego award winner is announced.

Education and growth: $50 CPR. Evidence-based workshops on burns/wounds, basic dermatology for beginners and autonomous assessments, plus eczema, acne, pruritis, injectables, biologics are included for safe, effective, ethical, competent practice (NMBA, 2016)

What’s new and old: Artificial intelligence and skin science. Ageing skin and complications of older person nursing, providing practical solutions after accurate assessments.

Inclusion—The challenges ahead: The effect of gender and skin; Inclusion in all aspects of life and care.

Leadership: AGM attendance is professional development of oneself and the dermatology nursing profession. What do we want for dermatology nursing in Australia. Please ensure membership is renewed and you are present for this important decision-making event.

 

CPD: matched 1:1 (9.5-11.5 CPD depending on CPR and AGM attendance).
