This role suits a nurse with a background in dermatology, laser, surgical nursing, or wound care who is keen to further develop their skills while working closely with dermatologists and an experienced laser and cosmetic nursing team.

This is a clinical support role assisting dermatologists.

About the Role

As a Dermatology Nurse, you will support patients across both medical and procedural dermatology, assisting dermatologists during consultations and procedures, providing patient education, and ensuring high standards of safety, documentation, and follow-up care.

With training and demonstrated capability, there is an opportunity to develop skills in laser treatments and potentially expand the scope over time.

Key Responsibilities

Assist dermatologists during procedures, including:

Skin biopsies and excisions

Wound care and post-procedure management

Injectables (assisting only)

Post-laser treatment care

Prepare and administer local anaesthetic under direction

Perform clinical photography and manage image documentation

Provide patient education on skin care, wound care, and post-procedure instructions

Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards

Maintain treatment rooms, supplies, and equipment

Clean and sterilise clinical equipment

Support clinical triage, follow-up, and care coordination

Assist with staff leave and broader practice needs when required

Ideal Candidate

Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)

Experience in dermatology, surgical nursing, or wound care

Patient-focused, organised, and communicative

A collaborative team player with a positive, adaptable approach

Motivated to learn and deliver best-practice care

Professional, empathetic, and calm in a clinical environment

Important Note

This role is not for cosmetic injectors

The position involves assisting dermatologists in medical and cosmetic treatments
