Why:

At the Australian Dermatology Nurses’ Association we believe in education for nurses. We believe in evidence-based practice. We believe in collaboration, teamwork and creating leaders. We believe advancing nursing in this specialty will benefit our patients, enable nurses to manage chronic and complex care, create a sustainable, professional workforce and improve our patients quality of life.

How:

We do this by continually promoting educational resources, beginning with the post graduate certificate in dermatology nursing with the Australian College of Nurses, melanography through the Australasian College of Dermatologists, e-learning, education days and conferences. We reward research efforts, challenge ourselves and strive to be visionary in creating professional career pathways for nurses.
