Some voices we hear less from than others – let’s change that in 2024

5 Dec, 2024 | News

For this year’s APNA Workforce Survey, we especially want to hear from nurses and midwives who have been underrepresented in previous surveys.

For example, 12% of the primary health care nursing workforce identify as male, but just 5% of responses last year were from male nurses.

Other settings underrepresented include aged care, Aboriginal-controlled community health services, mental health and those working in rural and remote communities.

The more we know about those of you working in these settings, the unique challenges you face, and your career aspirations, the more we can do to advocate on your behalf.

How can you help us change this in 2025?

  • Complete the APNA Workforce Survey if you belong to one of these groups or
  • Forward this email to those who do!

As a thank you for your time, completed surveys are entered into a prize draw to win one of two $1000 RedBalloon vouchers.
