THE 2024 PANDDA NURSING RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP FOR HONOURS STUDENTS

This scholarship is aimed at providing nursing students with some financial support to produce novel and outstanding quality research when undertaking their Honours degree. Any research supported by the PANDDA Nursing Research Scholarship for Honours students must be focussed on improving the health and wellbeing of people with intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) and/or on intellectual and developmental disability nursing. Applications are open to nurses who are Australian citizens and are enrolled in an Honours program at an Australian university. The scholarship provides up to AUD $6000 (tax free) to one student per year to assist with covering the costs associated with their Honours research. Costs might include, but are not limited to, course fees, a laptop computer, software licenses, transcription services, travel and accommodation, thesis editing, research-specific training, or conference attendance.

Applications:

All applications must address the following criteria and must not exceed 1000 words (including references):

  1. Informative title
  2. Summary Statement (100 words max)
  3. Research Question
  4. Research Design (250 words max)
  5. Significance of Study to the health of people with IDD and/or IDD nursing (200 words max)
  6. Personal Benefit (100 words max)
  7. Budget
  8. Details of enrolment in a BN Honours programme including supervisory team
  9. References
  10. Timeline

Applications for 2024 close 30th January, 2024

NOTE: Successful applicants are expected to present their research findings at a PANDDA Conference within 12 months of completing their Honours degree.
