2023 Sydney Nurse Melanoma Symposium

17 Feb, 2023 | News

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our 2023 Sydney Nurse Melanoma Symposium (Thursday 4 May). Our not-to-be-missed event will be your opportunity to learn from multidisciplinary experts across the disease spectrum (with some non-melanoma skin cancer education added in too!).

In addition to our concurrent surgical and medical oncology sessions in the afternoon we also have — for the first time — a hands-on workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to learn essential medical photography skills and see melanoma under the microscope!

MIA Nurse Webinar Series
If you missed our nurse webinar earlier this week on managing immunotherapy side effects (or would like to view it again), it’s now available to view on our Melanoma Education Portal. We had lots of great feedback on this webinar, so thank you to all who attended!

CNSA Webinar
We are proud to be partnering with Cancer Nurses Society of Australia on their upcoming webinar, Changes in early melanoma management. The webinar will feature presentations from MIA’s A/Prof Alexander van Akkooi (Surgical Oncologist) and Shahn Coburn (Head of Nursing & Surgical CNC) on the surgical and drug management of early melanoma – including the latest developments in the neoadjuvant space. If you’d like to register for this webinar, use the code MIA-2103 for free registration.

New content
We continue to develop more great on-demand content for our Melanoma Education Portal, so please take a look at some of our latest education:

Thank you for your continued support of our education program and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or feedback.

Sincerely,

Danielle Fischer
