ADNA Queensland Education Day Learning Objectives

CPR 

Expected Outcomes – How to recognise and act. As a requirement to continue practice, nurses must maintain capability for practice. On completion, nurses will have performed and passed the key elements of CPR equipping them to be community first responders

Suturing Workshop 

Expected Outcomes – Nurse will have absorbed a greater understanding of epidermal/dermal anatomy and physiology, wound healing processes and how suturing can assist this healing. Hands on practice with suturing.

Injectables 

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have information to help identify facial anatomy, injection points, different types of injectables on the market, when different types of injectables are used

Atopic Dermatitis

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have information to help identify signs and symptoms of atopic dermatitis, how to manage, testing that may be involved, treatment options available

Biologics

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have information to help identify signs and symptoms of psoriasis, how to manage, testing that is involved to start biologics, different types of biologics, dosing schedules

NMSC 

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have information to help identify different types of NMSC, different ways they can be treated, when radiation is indicated, how treatment is done, recovery, recurrence

Dermatoscopy 

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have information to help identify different types of lesions under the dermatoscope, tips on which features can identify certain lesions

Dermatology and Nutrition

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have a better understanding of how nutrition plays a role in dermatology and what conditions certain nutrition may improve

The Melanoma Clinic

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have a better understanding of melanoma, different types of melanoma, risk factors of melanoma, who is a part of The Melanoma Clinic, treatments for melanoma

Wound Management

Expected Outcomes Nurse will have absorbed a greater understanding of epidermal/dermal physiology, the wound healing processes, dressings
