Menopause courses for health professionals

29 May, 2025 | News

One of the key actions of the National Women’s Health Strategy 2020-2030 is to help women and their health care providers manage the effects of menopause by increasing menopause training among health professionals.

The Senate Inquiry into issues related to menopause and perimenopause also found that additional, up-to-date training for GPs and nurses was needed.

With funding from the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, Jean Hailes is offering 2 free accredited CPD online courses, which have been developed in partnership with the Australasian Menopause Society:

For general practitioners

This course equips GPs with the latest evidence in menopause management, helping them provide patient-centered care with confidence.

For nurses and midwives

This one-hour course explores the role of nurses and midwives in menopause management and offers practical strategies to support patients.
